Micrsoft's New Venture - The SurfaceTablet

Microsoft has unveiled a full on competitor to the Apple's iPad - The Surface tablet

Although it looked good at its introduction, but questions about pricing, arrival, connectivity, battery life and more remain ambiguous n’ unanswered.Anyway, lets have a look at the surface and its features.

  • What type of connectivity it will provide- 2G/3G/4G?
  • What apps will it have?
  • Will it support third party browsers? -as previously Windows 8 announced a ban on third party browsers like firefox, chrome, etc.

Previous Competitive releases of MS against Apple
  • The Zune- It gained favorable reviews when it launched in 2006, but still couldn't hold its own against the iPod, and was discontinued last year.
  • The Kin phones encountered a worst failure than Zune  due to lack of apps, games, fuzzy os n’ expensiveness and were panned and pulled from shelves within two months of their launch in 2010.

Better than Ipad??? May be…

The CEO Steve Ballmer and friends showed off how the Surface might be better than the iPad.

Keyboard

The Surface keyboard will be part of its Touch Cover, which is connected with magnets and flips open. There will be a version with pressure-sensitive flat keys and another with more traditional raised keys called a Type Cover.

"Lots of people get frustrated with the iPad because typing on it is a major chore. They want to use it like a full-fledged desktop, but they're stymied by the input method. ... If the Surface ships with the keyboard -- and if Microsoft markets the device as a tablet that will let you get some work done -- it could be a big hit."

USB Port

Both versions of the Surface come with two USB ports (2.0 on the RT and a faster 3.0 on the Windows Pro). The lack of ports has been one of the few persistent complaints about the iPad.

Xbox Smart glass

It will connect a smartphone or tablet with the Xbox, which in turn will be connected with the television. By connecting the devices, users can watch a movie on their television while getting bonus material on their tablet. They could also start enjoying a game or movie on the tablet, then transfer it to a TV -- or vice versa.

In addition to these features, the power consumption and size factors may make Surface, a better Tablet, as said by the CEO. Read More ...

Fix: Encountering frequent system restarts?

Many of us encounter the “Automatic Restart” of  Windows while we are in a hurry to submit an application or while giving a final touch to our important tasks. We feel so desperate and frustrated when the PC restarts suddenly without our permission spoiling our toil to complete a work.

The Automatic restart is a mechanism enabled to operate by default in all the operating system when the system or any executable application crash. This saves our system and prevents similar future crashes… But, when this feature annoys us by interrupting our hard work, we search for a perfect fix …. Isn’t it?

The automatic restart may be due to a BSoD or a  Software crash or something else… That is beyond the scope of discussion now..

What you need is a remedy for your problem..Right?

No worries…Here is the fix to your problem.

  1. Click Start  -> Control Panel.
  2. Click System and Security link and choose System link and move on to step 4

  4. Choose the Advanced system settings or in case of  XP Advanced tab of  the System Properties Window.
  5. In the Startup and Recovery section, click on the Settings button.
  6. Uncheck the check box in front of  Automatically restart option.

Glorify our Motherland…..Proud to be an Indian

The famous verses written by our renowned BankimChandra Chatterjee :

vande maataram..
vande maataram…maataram…

sujalaam sufalaam malayajaśeetalaam
śasya śyaamalaa maataram
vande maataram

śubhra jyotsnaa pulakita yaamineem
phulla kusumita drumadalaśobhineem
suhaasinee sumadhura bhaaieem
sukhadaa varadaa maataram
vande maataram

The two Sanskrit words “Vande Maataram” play a vital role in bringing a strong spirit to every heart that spells them….( “Vande Maataram” is translated below)

Vande --- I salute

Maataram--- to (my) mother

Ok… Is just singing “Vande Maataram” and “Jana Gana Mana” itself is sufficient to glorify our motherland…
If you ask this question to the bottom of your heart, it’ll say definitely a big “No”….

 So, what ‘we’ can do?
Remembering “Vande Maataram” should not be “One Day Maathiram” (i.e  for a single day )….

It must be in the hearts of every Indian to strive hard to make our country excel in all fields…

Ok… Everyone knows that it is easy to advice or to say something to other s and go….

But think for a while how the careless attitude of people diminishes our motherland’s path to glory…

Every INDIAN is now aware of the scams, unearthed amount of black money which otherwise could have been used for the sake of  many poor people and for the improvement of our nation....

A Big Salute to ‘Anna Hazare’ who has taken an initiative to anti – corruption movement and still struggling hard to pass a strong lokpal bill with his committee ….It’s nice to see and hear that he  is continually being supported by large number of people till date…

But why does this “lokpal” issue is in talk now? Obviously, because of the corrupt people who spread their wings in leaps and bounds without leaving a single field....

The lokpal could have become an unnecessary thought, if every INDIAN was true to his/her heart and loyal in his/her work… But, the greediness of people is grown enormous and stimulated this initiative for lokpal…

Set apart the discussions about “what the lokpal bill can do in future?” and just think what ‘we’ can do for our “Motherland to become a Wonderland”…

We people take oath for an English New Year ...

But why can't we take a oath now ... in this auspicious "Independence Day"....

Let us take a new oath to glorify our country:

I will never give or get bribe

I will keep my surroundings clean

I will fight against corruption to my best

I hope all of you who really want to “adore our motherland “ that made you enter into this world and the one which educated you with abundant worldly knowledge, will take the oath…

Please share this and become a source of a good cause…
